Structural Vibrations I/II
The lecture ''Structural Vibrations I and II'' starts with an introduction
in the fundamental single degree-of- freedom mass-spring system with viscous
damper. Furthermore the two degree-of-freedom system will be discussed to
introduce in multiple degree of freedom systems. Discrete and distributed
parameter systems are included and the theory will be explained by vibration
problems in aeronautics and astronautics as well as in general mechanical
engineering. Further topics are vibration suppression, measurement of
mechanical vibrations and methods of dynamic verification and qualification.
At the end of the lecture a short introduction in the identification of
structural vibration parameters and in aeroelasticity will be given.
