Lightweight Design of Aerospace Structures
Based on the course ''Advanced Structural Mechanics I'' this lecture deals
with the calculation of aerospace structures. Under consideration of energy
principles statically determined and undetermined structures are computed.
In this context the Displacement Method is considered which is the basis of
the Finite Element Method. Furthermore a main topic of the lecture is the
stability of plate and shell structures. Approximation methods are presented
which enable stability verifications of stiffened and unstiffened plates
and shells.
